And I'm ready to start selling! Let me know if you're interested!

New Stuff and I'm Ready to Start Selling!

Hey Everyone!

Got a few more items. If you see something you want to trade, remember what you give me should be something that you think is worth equal or greater value, and any money made will be given to The Sheepfold.

However, if you see something that you'd like to buy from me, let me know too, 'cause I'm ready to start selling.

And here's the new stuff:
  1. Watercolor Art Set donated by Eileen! New - has paint brushes and paints...
  2. 27- inch Sanyo TV - cable and video game ready! (Only a couple of years old...Traded 'cause they got a big-screen!)
  3. Emerson Radio/CD player with 8-inch (8" x 4.5") speakers
  4. More sports games for the PS2
  5. Green toothbrush holder, cup, soap dish, liquid soap container and bath towels for the bathroom - matched set (TV, stereo, games, and bathroom stuff all traded by Jessica and Irving for "The Sixth Sense" DVD! Thanks, guys!)
  6. Fuji Digital Camera - a few years old, but not used (still in box w/ software CD and plastic) - donated by Andrea! So generous!
  7. A 14-K gold engagement-style, solitaire diamond ring - a trade for the boys' shoes! Thanks, Jen! (The diamond is less than a 1/2 carat...Will get it cleaned this weekend...)

I also received a $40 donation from Kim and Robin. Thanks so much, guys!

Let me know if you 1) want to trade anything; 2) want to buy anything; 3) want to help me sell anything to someone you know, on Craig's list, or on eBay. Let your friends know I've got stuff to sell for charity, too!

Thanks for keeping up with my project!

Brand New Girls' Clothes

Marygrace has donated some brand new girls' clothes and even sent them all the way from Fillmore to the OC. Thanks so much!

Pink/white gingham print tank top (size 6), matching jean shorts (pink/white gingham belt - size 6), white tank top with flower decoration (4T), fuschia pink tank top with fruit decorations (4T), patriotic tank dress (red/white stripe on top, with white stars on dark blue on bottom - size 3T).

There is also a soft, plush "purse" with its own puppy (stuffed animal) inside! Very cute!

Email me or leave a comment if you're interested in anything...and keep looking at the list to see if there's anything you or your friends or kids would want to trade for! Feel free to pass this on to other people who might be interested in items or the project for The Sheepfold!

Used Classical Guitar!

Thanks to Melissa and John!

I traded the Knocked Up DVD for a used classical guitar! There are a couple of small dings/scrapes in the body, but it sounds OK (the strings are new). Great beginner guitar.

Leave a comment or email me if you want to trade! Pics of everything will hopefully be up this weekend. I'll keep you posted.

BTW, the Dell computer donated by Kisu runs Windows XP and has Microsoft Office on it.

New Purse

Traded with Lindsey - a new purse with a woven straw and sage colored weave and faux-leather brown trim/handles/straps. It has a beige lining; zipper - for the girls' tennis shoes.

As a side note, I'm working on getting pictures up on the web of all the items that I have to trade, so you don't need to "listen" to all my catalog-style descriptions.

Let me know if you are interested in trading something for the purse or anything else I have!

Big Trades and Donations!

Thanks, TRV! You are fantastic!

Clay donated a book, The Last Shot: City Streets, Basketball Dreams. Looks interesting. Thanks for digging around for stuff twice!

Stan made a trade with me: $5 for a bunch of PS2 games (see the list) - fantastic!

And Kisu - quite awesome. I traded the "designer" Scrabble game for a Dell computer (the hard drive/tower part )! Yeah! It actually has a bunch of software on it as well - I'll ask Kisu what (can't remember). Think I will go ahead and sell that one (unless someone has something to trade that they feel is worth about the same or more - Jen says that she thinks her friend Ricky should donate his old Civic - ha!)

Thanks again everyone! The Sheepfold will be grateful!

Now someone's gotta trade something, right?

Thanks for the donation!

Got it! Thanks to Eileen for the $10 donation to The Sheepfold - sorry I couldn't remember it was you! Thanks for the heads-up and for your contribution!

Girls' Shoes!

Got some cute girls' tennis shoes/sneakers. They're white with pink and they light up while you walk - girls' size 7. Thanks, Andrea!

If you have something to trade or donate something, or are interested in helping me sell some of this stuff for the Sheepfold, leave a comment, or email or call me.

Don't forget to look at what I have on the right side of this blog.

Boys' Clothes and a Cash Donation to the Sheepfold

Got 2 bags full of boys' clothes from Cathie (Thanks!) - pants, shirts, sweaters, just about everything. If you're interested in some of the clothes, call, email, or leave a comment and I'll dig in deeper to what I've got. If no one wants to trade, they'll go straight to the Sheepfold.

I also got $10 donated from someone at work today (Monday), too. Only problem - can't remember who handed it to me! So sorry! I specifically remember being told it was a donation for The Sheepfold, but I don't remember from whom! Horrible, horrible Mondays. If it was you, can you please email/call/leave a comment for me, so I can thank you properly?

Anyway, rumors of more things to come for trades and/or donations! Please let me know if you see something you want to swap for!

Update

Traded another $5 bill for a pair of fitted "d" jeans - size 12. The jeans have some embellishment on the back pockets. Very nice, Tammy! Thanks!

Update on the pair of boys' Vans - they are NOT actually new, but have only been worn a few times. The canvas part feels new, but they have apparently been worn through a little bit of mud. Good condition, still! Let me know if you want to trade!

BTW, if you're wondering where I got all these $5 bills, they are part of the church project. The church as a whole is wanting to use our resources for helping our community, and they have been part of this $5 thing. Still have a few more if you are interested in $5!

Leave a comment or call or email me if you want to make a trade and/or buy anything you see.

Yeah! I've now got a leather brief case to trade! It's black, and has several large compartments. It's also large enough to hold a laptop. Thanks, Patti!

DVD - Knocked Up
$5

(BTW, If you don't have my contact info, and would like to propose a trade, please leave a comment on any of my posts.)

The Plan

So I'm trying to support a local charity - The Sheepfold, a shelter and ministry that provides housing, training, and other support for homeless and abused women with children.

http://www.thesheepfold.org

Here's the idea: I've got $5. If you're willing, I will give you the $5 if you give me something in return that you think is worth at least $5.

I will then continue trading with other people until I can't make any more trades, or until I find a perfect item to donate to The Sheepfold.

At the end, I'll either donate the item directly to The Sheepfold, or sell it and donate the money instead.

I've been inspired by "The Red Paperclip Guy" (http://oneredpaperclip.blogspot.com) and my church to try to do something big (http://www.thecrossing.com). My church as a whole (The Crossing) is trying to do something big to make a difference in the lives of people around us.

Keep reading this blog to find out about the trades I make and see what I have available for trading!
